Packaging Design & Structural Development
Packaging development brings together product dimensions, structure, artwork, materials and finishing. HC Packaging's product development and packaging engineering capabilities were established in Shanghai in 2009. A clear design brief helps connect the packaging concept to manufacturing requirements.

Start with the product and its use
Provide product dimensions, weight, intended presentation, transport needs and order quantity. Include reference packaging or sketches where available and identify the requirements that matter most to the buyer.
Review structure and artwork together
Consider the opening format, insert arrangement and available print area alongside the artwork. State the required colors, logo placement, printing, finishes and any material or compliance constraints.

Move from concept to a sample brief
Use the sample discussion to clarify dimensions, structure, materials, artwork and finishing before setting the production specifications. Standard sample lead time is 24–48 hours; complex project requirements are confirmed separately.

Connect design decisions to manufacturing
Review printing, die-cutting, forming and finishing options with the production requirements. Manufacturing site and project timing are confirmed during quoting.
Packaging development questions
What should I send for a packaging design discussion?
Send product dimensions, intended quantity, structure preferences, reference images, artwork and material or finishing requirements. Include protection needs and any certification requirements.
How do I connect a design brief to production?
Define the structure, material, artwork and finish together, then discuss sampling and manufacturing specifications with HC Packaging.
