Bagasse trays should be selected by the product they hold, the contact conditions and the complete material specification. A fiber-based tray is not automatically suitable for every food application or disposal system.
Material and disposal checks
Ask for the fiber composition, coating or barrier specification and any additives in the finished tray. Evaluate the complete construction rather than the fiber name alone.
A recyclability or compostability statement needs documentation for the finished product and an appropriate collection or treatment route in the destination market. Keep that decision separate from tray dimensions and branding.
